Hello Ella. I believe I have one of these Agfas in my collection. What fun. The lighting on the bellows and lens is right on, showing detail and texture. As others have said the background was well selected. Its texture seems to be mimicked in the texture of the top of the camera. Nice job lighting the glasses. Rims and arms are separated from the background. Did you use your light painting technique? |

Hi Nick. Wonderfully moody image. I tend to agree with Ian on the crop, and with Peter on detail in the whites. Good timing with this capture. |

Hello Ian. You have a very good eye to imagine an interesting mono image. The chipped paint creates interesting texture, and the emblem clearly identifies the subject. Well cropped. |

Hello Peter. I always enjoy your landscapes. Iceland is on my bucket list. Something seems a little off, and I think Ella identifies what that might be. Beautiful dramatic lighting with nice gentle detail in the shadows. |

Hello John. I have been to Scotland twice and would love to return. Wonderful photo opportunities everywhere. I like the way the leading lines isolate the lonely fence post. If this were my image I would try to open the shadows a bit. But that is personal taste. Also, if you have a denoise app available to you I would try to lessen the noise in the sky. I don't think that would take away from the drama. However, I realize that you might want the noise for effect. |
