31 Apr 21 Reply Paul thank you for your observations. i believe I have resolved the halo on the mountains. I believe the grain was actually film grain. The original was a 4x5 tri-x photo scanned into a digital version. I have applied the newest version of Topaz AI Denoise AI nd the noise in the sky was eliminated. I don't believe that any remaining noise would be visible in a 16x20 print. Apr 11th
31 Apr 21 Comment I also like bare trees in silhouette against the sky. In this instance I may have also try a version with more tree and greater contrast in the sky. I have had similar halo problems with similar images. Apr 9th

31 Apr 21 Comment Hello Michael. The image establishes a mood for me: late lonely night in an unfamiliar location where the light is a welcoming beacon. I find these types of images interesting. I might have tried to reduce some of the glow around the Phillips sign. Apr 9th

I think you did a nice job of maintaining some interesting contrast variations in a flat sky, and like Peter I enjoy the reflection in the water. Very successful with this capture under difficult conditions. The little bits of ice in the water really says "cold". Apr 9th
