Thanks for you feedback. I find it interesting how opinions can be so varied. That's good . I learn something from each. |

Hello Ella. Its been a long time since I was in the valley. Makes me want to return and see it with new eyes. Nice composition, with what Peter identifies as the manly beacon ( I didn't know its name), well placed to make a very effective image. Nice range of tonalities through out the image. |

Paul a very strong portrait. The eyes look right into the viewer. Nice job in getting the catch light in the eyes. I have no suggestions on improvements. Well executed. |

Ian a am very fond of old buildings. You have treated this one with great respect. The path way is a nice leading line to the front door. Makes me wonder what's inside. Nice work on the sky. As some of the others mentioned I am troubled a bit by the tilted sides. that is the only suggestion I would
offer. Nice image. |

Peter, wonderful light making another beautiful image. I enjoy the way you maintained a range of contrasts in the lower shadowed portion of the mountain. The light across the peak is stunning. |

Hello John. I guess I would echo all of the above comments. Well done. The remnants of the pier really compliment the image. |

Michael I use a blue filter in the B&W conversion using NIK.
This darkened the green area and of course increased the contrast. More detail in the foliage is visible under other filters. A choice made for this presentation. Other options are available. Thanks for your comment. |

Hello Michael. I have spent time in Yellowstone but it been a long time. So many image opportunities. I tend to agree with Ella; however I was wondering if you added a tone to the B&W conversion for effect. Nice vantage point for the image. |
