Ella I admire your shill at creating interesting still life's. Way back in my history when I was commercial photographer I would have loved to have conceived and produced this image. A few lifetimes ago when I operated and owned a commercial photography studio working in film, the effort to create this image would have been legion. So I appreciate your creativity and vision. |

Michael the mood of this image really attracts me. It feels old but also current. There is a hot spot at the top of the image that can be easily corrected. An oversight. I really enjoy the tone. It fits the subject in my mind. |

Hello Ian. I like the concept and treatment of the trees. The curve of the fore ground tree leads my eye around the image, sort of embracing the other trees. As the others have suggested, perhaps some dodging of the trunk of the foreground tree. But then again the approach of using silhouettes creates drama for me. Nice image. |

Beautiful image Peter. The sky looks great. The snow line in the foreground nicely complements the mountains and leads me into the image. I am constantly amazed at the range of tones you achieve in your images. Did you employ focus stacking to get sharpness throughout the image? |

Hello John. Thanks for the history. I am curious what a "Rope Haul" is and how it was used. Good timing in getting both engines puffing away. The white object in the foreground is a bit distracting for me but it seems to be a part of the story. I would probably try to remove the photographer. I can understand on a photo day photogs must be every where. |
