31 Jun 20 Comment Ella although its been many years since I explored Death Valley its starkness and quiet was a constant allure to me. I visited and spend many days there over a number of years. That being said i appreciate the capture of the starkness and desolation of the valley. The image seems to me, a bit over sharp in the foreground. But that is the nature of Death Valley, extreme contrasts. Nice image. Jun 9th
31 Jun 20 Comment Paul you touched my soft spot. I love the drama of windows. very well done. The projection of the window grill on the floor is wonderful. I would have loved to create this image. Well done. Jun 9th
31 Jun 20 Comment Hello Michael. Rock art is fascinating because of its age and the implications of its artist so long ago. My art will not survive that long. I understand that it can be very difficult to capture rock art and create contrast that separates the art from the base rock. I might have tried to tone down the bright area at the top of the image and some how increased the contrast between the drawings and the base rock. I have never tried this so I really don't know what the obstacles are. Good job. Jun 9th
31 Jun 20 Comment Ian I really like this image. The curving and diminishing line of the object really draws me into the image. Well composed. Glad you didn't get too wet. I am not familiar with the geography and this area. What are those interesting structures used for? Jun 9th
31 Jun 20 Comment Wonderful image. Appealing composition and interesting cloud in the sky. I'm not sure of whether the sky noise is a product of the original image or the reduction to Jpeg. I have found the Topaz AI denoise plug in to be useful in eliminating sky noise. Of course it may soften the detail in the cloud but also may lessen the noise in other parts of the sky. Just a thought. Jun 9th
31 Jun 20 Comment I would never have guessed grass as the subject. And actually the nature of the subject is not relevant for me, I like the image. The undulations and range of tomes I find appealing. Good experiment. Jun 9th
31 Jun 20 Reply Here is a modified image with a more interesting sky. Jun 7th
31 Jun 20 Comment Peter I agree. I may try adding appropriate clouds. Jun 6th
