Excellent questions Rashid. A couple of purposes. First I want to show others that they can find simple beauty if they
Carefully try to really see what is around them. Take the time to see. Secondly I wanted to share the visual pleasure I found in the contrast between the birch logs and the darker surroundings. For me, although perhaps not others, the scene was a visual treasure discovery. Thanks for the question. I hope I provided a satisfying answer.

Hello Ella. You succeeded in not wanting me to meet this guy in a dark ally, or for that matter in a well light ally. The eyes are riveting and seem to see right through the viewer. Expressive portrait. Personal preference, I may have preferred the beard to be sharper. For me that would not have detracted my attention from the eyes. |

Paul, a new way to see the Taos church. Congrats on finding an original perspective. I might have tried to decrease the white values in the cloud in the right corner and perhaps darkened the entrance way a bit. Personal preference. It is a challenging subject to photograph in a way different from past photos. I thing you succeeded in finding a unique way to render the church. |

Rashid, first that fact that the capture was on a cell phone is impressive. Secondly it is an interesting image with the spiraling nature of the tunnel ribs pulling me into the image. A surreal dream. |

Hello John. I have nothing to ad to the comments of the others. However let me say that I am always attracted to lonely trees and how they suggest (to me) strength |

A great image.Again I am impressed with your prowess in creating images, in this case multiple images which I would not know about without your comment. I find this to be a very powerful image and the cross in the lower left corner adds to the impact. Also I agree with the request of Beverly regarding how you arrived at the final image. you have much to teach and share. |

Ian a priceless expression, the perfect moment. Well captured. I agree with the others regarding the background shadow. However nothing can overpower that great expression. |
