Ian, I am profoundly embarrassed and I owe you and the rest of the group a sincere apology. I thought I had made the original color image in Switzerland a few years ago. When I searched all of my photo archives I could not find the original. I then checked the meta data and found your name and copyright. I apparently downloaded the image to see how it would look modified without the fore ground and background removed. I guess I am getting old. I forgot that the original image was yours. Again I sincerely apologize, I greatly admired your original image. If the group thinks I should resign for my error, I will do so. Again I sincerely apologize for my error.

The image grabs my attention and I like the dramatic lighting. The model's expression is a little puzzling, but I can't pinpoint why. Perhaps a little to dreamy for the drama of the lighting. The small white spot on her right shoulder is a little distracting for me as is the bright line between her arm and torso. Nice portrait. |

Interesting treatment. The image evokes the thought of a charcoal drawing. The dark ridge lines both lead to groups of people which provides the scale of the scene. I also think that since the people represents vertical dark lines they ad interest to the horizontals. |

Nice image John. Great textures. I actually like the bright surface of the center of the cleat. I may have darkened the bright spot on the right so as not to draw attention away from the rest of the image. the reflection on the top would have also caught my interest had I been walking by. Nice job on the conversion. |

Hello Rashid. An interesting and creative interpretation of this lady. I like the contrast. It brings out the quality of marble one might expect. As said by others, perhaps a little darkening of the top of the head to emphasize the texture of the hair. |

Hello Paul. Those eyes look right through a person. Makes me feel like this guy is reading my mind. I will echo the comments of Ella and Paul. Perhaps a little less tree trunk will let the subject be even more compelling than it already is. |

Hello Ella. I am familiar with the location, a very interesting park. I like the image. I was wondering if you used focus stacking? Something I have just recently learned about. I like the light on the foreground and the light tree on the right seems to draw me toward the opening in the arch in the rear. You might try increasing the exposure over all if you haven't explored that yet. But then again you may have wanted to create a somber mood. |
