I agree with the suggestion to eliminate the numbers in the back ground. That said I like the image very much. Dramatic and clearly expressing a thoughtful moment. I like the natural lighting and the compositional relationship of the bright window leading through the subject to the darkness on the lower right. |

The trio concept for composition is interesting. perhaps in color the red light house would make a more striking image. Although it may not have been possible, a more blurred background would draw greater attention to the trio. |

Peter, both the color and B&W conversion images are pleasing. Like the others I think my preference is the color version. It seems to better relate the cold. |

Ella thanks for correcting my geography. In haste I loosely used the term high desert. Actually as I recall I think the image was made in Joshua Tree National Park in Calif.
or in Saguaro national park in Arizona. And I agree the image does look a bit flat. I think I over worked the original. |
