Hi Nadia,
Great moody composite. You have a talent for getting a mood out of your images. I think the composite blend works in all cases. What doesn't seem to work for me is the strong vertical line that cuts the image in two. It is so strong it becomes the subject, and not the store front. I think the image would be much stronger without the umbrella. As a lesser note, I think the man would be better placed walking into the frame on the right side. It would help the story to have a person looking at the store front as they are passing the store. Just some suggestions. Cheers. |

Hi Henry,
Nadia and Brad have some great suggestions. You picked a difficult assignment, so kudos for attempting this. I'd suggest looking at https://phlearn.com/free-tutorials/ I think Aaron is excellent. I subscribe and find it very useful. I think if you can remove some of the birds on the left so that the owl can stand on its own, it would make it easier. You need to have a shadow matching the direction of the sun. The light on the owl is flat. You can add a levels layer above the owl to darken the owl on the left using a linear gradient that will give it more depth. |

Hi Brad,
Cleanly done composite. I agree with Nadia crop suggestions and the vignette. Exodus doesn't seem to fit what is going on here, as it seems more like a Subaru commercial-go anywhere- type of idea. The cars have snow and the waterfall is clearly a summer scene so there is a disconnect there as well. |

Hi Henry,
I was surprised that the heron stayed sharp when I blew it up. It was a good exposure. |
