Hi Lisa,
Thanks for sharing your snow making technique. It is something I'll add to my bag of tricks! Nicely done, but I think it is unbalanced to the left. I don't feel the space on the right adds anything to the image. |

Hi Henry,
Very nice treatment of the background. I'd consider tilting the grass at an angle as I feel it would make for a more interesting composition. |

Hi Nadia,
Thanks for the feedback. I do need to make the monkey blend better. What do you think about removing the monkey from the scene? |

Susan,
Thanks for the comment. I like the image with and without the monkey. Anyone else have an opinion whether to leave out the monkey. I need to work on blending it in better if I keep it. |

Nadia,
Great tutorial, thanks. You could mask the vignette to open up the shadows on the scarf and hat, but it's great in any case. |

Hi Brad,
Another thing you could try is to put a layer of solid color on top of your wife's image that is matched to the orange of the flower, then put the blending mode to color and use opacity to add some reflected color to her clothes.

Hi Susan,
Wow. Great composite. I like the way the hand is on this side of the web. I think it is great the way it is. I have an alternate suggestion to just treat this as a portrait and do a much tighter portrait vertical crop to focus on the model. I think if you got rid of the roses it would make it look like a straight shot instead of a fantasy composite, which I think might be a much stronger image. |

Hi Kathy,
Another fun composite. I think the background blends well. I see you darkened the two men from the original. Since the light source is from the front (shadow of tiger's head on leaf), I would add some more light to the men. Not sure if you have to darken them much as it looks very unnatural in the composite. |

Hi Brad,
After reading Nadia's bio, I noticed that you don't mention where you are located. Could you update your bio with this? Always interesting to know where people live. I feel this is well done, but your wife is a bit too sharp compared to the flower which is a bit soft, so I would try a bit of a blur on your wife to help it blend better. Nice. |

Hi Nadia,
Welcome to Group 41! Hope you are enjoying your summer down under while we survive our winter. I really like your composite. It is a fun interpretation that is well put together. I would like to learn how to do the sky treatment that you did here. Do you recommend any training videos or websites? I have some minor nits, but that is why you are here. The book on the grass looks pasted on and needs a bit more work. The hat and the scarf on the bench are so dark that I had to look at the original to see what they were. I enjoyed the clock and the flying books as they do convey the passage of time while reading. Well done. |
