Thank you very much for the comment. This is exactly what I was hoping for. I am pretty new at wildlife photography. I don't have the super high end telephoto lenses that professionals do and the Tamron lens I used for this picture (the 150-600mm G1) was a bit on the soft side. I have since replaced that with the Nikon 200-500mm which is much sharper. I'm hoping for some opportunities to photograph the fawns again this spring. I did buy a sidekick for my tripod so hopefully that will help. I really appreciate your recommendations. It will definitely help me on my next try. |

That is a beautiful flower. I love the way you have done the background. It's not just a solid black but has some color and shadowing in the wrinkles in the cloth background. It really makes the overall picture look nice. I agree with Andrew that it would be nice if you could either pick a different angle to hide the green clip or to clone/heal it out of the picture. It's a very nice looking picture overall. |

I love water pictures and you have done a great job with using a slow enough speed to blur the moving water. There is still detail in the water flowing over the rocks. I also like that you have included the boat in the picture to give it some visual interest. This might just be my personal preference but I feel the sky is a little too faded and bland. I think I would try to bring down the highlights a bit to see if you can get a little more color in the sky. Otherwise this is a wonderful picture. |

I really like the lighting on this. I love light painting. I do agree that you may have brightened it a little too much. I think you could lighten the shadows a bit more from the original but leave the highlights down some. The sky is definitely too bright. I would try to keep the sky as the original. The idea of geese flying in the sky at night would feel unnatural to me. I think if you leave the original dark sky you won't need to do anything else in the sky. I was also wondering about the bright light in the sky. |

This is a beautiful shot. Elephants are one of my favorite animals. I agree with the others that this should be hanging on the wall. It's a fantastic picture. |

I find this picture very intriguing. You can see just enough of the arm of the conoer to know he is there but nothing else. It makes it kind of mysterious and exciting. The blurred paddle shows fast motion. Very cool picture. |

Ahh thank you very much for your input on this. You are right about the legs. Now I look at it, the legs are very confusing. You can't tell which legs go to which fawn. I cropped it down a little more to eliminate the leg confusion. Here is the result. |

I don't quite understand your comment about it being a Natural History picture. It's a wildlife picture. Is that the same thing? The reason I ask is that they are in their natural environment. These are wild deer taken at the back of the field behind our house. They wander all around the area but just happened to be at the back of our field that day.
If I remember correctly it was late in the day and overcast so I didn't have a lot of light. I probably should have gone into Auto ISO mode and let the ISO go higher but I didn't have much time to mess with camera settings. So I agree it was probably a little slow causing the rear leg to be a little soft. |
