I really like this in black and white. I love the look of the textures in the leaves and y lines of the hanging vines.
I think I agree with Susan and would like to see a little more contrast. I also like the vertical crop that Henry suggested.
Overall this is a very nice picture. |

As usual you have captured another beautiful city shot. I am a huge fan of color so I love all the color in this picture. I find the colorful words reflected in the water just beautiful. Great job stitching it together. I can't even see the lines you refer to.
I think I agree with Susan's idea on the crop on the right side. The only other thing I think I would probably do would be to clone out the small airplane above the building. It drew my eye right to it wondering what it was.

I absolutely love those old ships so find this picture very cool. I really like what you have done to draw out some details in the sky. I live in Portland Oregon so we have skies like that a LOT here so I completely understand the challenge of trying to make it look decent. I really like the cannon in the foreground pointing the eye toward the center of the ship. I think it is ok that the front of the mast is cut off a little. It's better than having a crooked horizon as in the original.
I think the only thing I would suggest is maybe to crop the left side in closer to the back of the ship. Showing all the people and buildings at the back of the ship really doesn't add anything to the picture.
Overall you did a good job with with a challenging picture. |

I really like the simplicity of this. The curvy lines along with the straight lines in the window panes make for a very interesting pattern. I also think the brown and blue colors contrast each other well. I really enjoy just looking at it. |

That is a great point that both of you made. I'll try cropping up from the bottom right corner to get rid of the blurry leaves and see how that turns out. I'll post it as a reply if it works well. |
