You are right the tree top does not go with the rest of the image. |

Henry, the waves, curves and changes in lighting are indeed incredible. I also like the rows of tractor paths. |

A very interesting image but I feel more emphasis is needed on the sculpture. So in my suggested revision I cropped off some of the bottom right as I don't thank that is part of the sculpture. Then I increased the contrast of the sculpture and blurred the background to further emphasize the sculpture. |

I love the image. Great lighting. Great curves. Great conversion from IR. My only suggestion would be to crop some off the left side and bottom so that the grain elevator is not so centered. Posted: 07/12/2023 11:22:19 |

You have photographed a very interesting bank. However, to me, the image suffers from being "busy," that is there is just too much in the image. And, there seems to be no center of interest. I tried to darken the main structures of the building, then darken and blur the background and crop some off the right side but my attempt still does not look very good. |

I revised my image by moving the dancer, reducing her size, adding shadows under her shoes and reducing the size of the ceiling. |

A wonderful image with a great background. I have no suggestions. Thanks for sharing about crackalute. I had never heard of such a filter and like the way it works on your image.

A very interesting creation with all the curves but, to me, the image lacks a subject. My eye is drawn just to center of the image. I don't know what to suggest except that perhaps the center of your swirl should not be in the exact center of the image, that is offset. And, I would like the flowers to be more visible and the swirl less visible. |

I am absolutely amazed at your creation. I admit that I do not understand abstract art but the more I look at your image the more I enjoy it. And, I cannot believe that your art work was created from a photo of lupines. Kudos.
I have numerous photos of lupines that are just so so. I am going to see if I can come close to duplicating your process. Thanks for sharing your technique.

Photographing snow is very difficult. Unless there are some shadows, the snow just appears white. And, if your exposure is for the average light level the snow will usually be overexposed with no detail. In the future I suggest that when shooting scenes with snow you bracket your exposures. You might find that an image that is underexposed by one or two stops will have the detail you are looking for in the snow. Then in Photoshop, using layers, you can combine your overall image with a separate snow layer. Attached is my revision where I darkened the snow and brighten the tree. |

I like your image a lot. The composition is great. My suggestions are to darken the background and brighten the blossoms. And, as Brenda suggested eliminate the partial pedal and the bottom of the image. |

Boo to the judges. Your image is great. It is sharp, the background is nicely blurred, color is great as is the composition. My only question is about the starburst. It is bright and in the middle of the image. Is the starburst distracting? Would a muted gray color be better than a bright starburst? |

The smoke in your scene is a great problem as it obscures details and makes the image flat (not much contrast). In my revision I darkened the water to add more contrast. Then I took out the lower portion of the sky to bring the sun closer to the water. Then I added color to the sky and reduced its noise level. And, finally I cropped out much of the lower portion of the water. |

Very interesting. I wanted to give the eagle a little more room so in my revision I added some to the top and to the left side of the image. |

A wonderful nature image. You mentioned that you wanted the eggs to be not so bright. I went to Photoshop and added another layer. I then, on the new layer, selected just the eggs and deleted every thing else in the image. Then in Photoshop Raw I went to Color Mixer and adjusted the blue slider to color the eggs. Then since the eggs are in the top layer I adjusted the opacity percentage to get what I think is the "correct" blue color. |
