I think your image is outstanding. Everything in the image works so well together as do the various mono shades. No suggestion. |

Jim, I really like your image. Great composition. And, I like the water blur and that there are no blown out highlights. I like both the color and mono versions. But, I do prefer the higher contrast in your mono original version 3 over your final mono version. |

Jim, thanks for your comments. I was fortunate in that the copied image of the lady already had shadow but it was on the right side of her so I just flipped the image horizontally and was so pleased how well it fit in with my original image. |

Peter, I like your composition but as Jim already said the image is soft. I also tried to sharpen the image but could not. I have two thoughts. First, as Jim suggested, use a higher F stop on close ups, perhaps F/11 or F/16. Second, try focusing on the front edge of the flower. The area of sharpness in close up photography is shallow going forward from the center focal point and greater going backward so it is important to focus on the front edge of your image. If the front edge is sharp I think the eye can go along with some softness further back in the image. |

A wonderful image and a great creation from an old slide. I guess it must have been a Kodachrome slide as the colors still look great. I like the image as is but I made a revision with a little more sharpness and contrast and with a reduction in the background noise. |

What a wonderful photo. I never would have thought about photographing such a bland subject nor how to convert them into such a creative image. |

I also like this image and especially how all the angles focus down to the platform of tourists. |

Great image. I like the tree on the left so in my revision I cropped just a little off the left and some off the bottom. Then I brightened the image and darkened the road and house in the top background. |

Thanks for the suggestions. I darkened the background a little more and brightened the player slightly. I used a zoom lens set at about 150 MM at f 5.6. |

I like you image. The composition is great. However, to me, the image seems somewhat soft probably because of the wide F stop of 3.5. Lens tend to be somewhat soft at the bottom 2 and the top 2 stops. I think a f stop of 5.0 would have been much sharper but perhaps the background would not have been so nicely blurred. In my revision I sharpened just the flower and then also brightened the center. I did not know what to do with the odd stem so I just eliminated it. |

A wonderful image and a wonderful capture and I really like all the curves in the image. But, to me the most interesting part of the image is the vertical column of light. So in my revision I cropped out much of the dark shadow areas to feature the column which also allowed the figure to become more prominent. |

Very nice image. Very nice capture. But, I think the faces need to be brightened. Also, half of your image is of the nest but since the subject is the owlets they should be more prominent. In my revision I brightened the owlets and especially the faces. Then, I cropped out much of the nest. |
