11 Mar 23 Comment I think your image is outstanding. Everything in the image works so well together as do the various mono shades. No suggestion. Mar 9th
11 Mar 23 Comment Jim, I really like your image. Great composition. And, I like the water blur and that there are no blown out highlights. I like both the color and mono versions. But, I do prefer the higher contrast in your mono original version 3 over your final mono version. Mar 9th
11 Mar 23 Reply Jim, thanks for your comments. I was fortunate in that the copied image of the lady already had shadow but it was on the right side of her so I just flipped the image horizontally and was so pleased how well it fit in with my original image. Mar 9th
11 Mar 23 Comment Peter, I like your composition but as Jim already said the image is soft. I also tried to sharpen the image but could not. I have two thoughts. First, as Jim suggested, use a higher F stop on close ups, perhaps F/11 or F/16. Second, try focusing on the front edge of the flower. The area of sharpness in close up photography is shallow going forward from the center focal point and greater going backward so it is important to focus on the front edge of your image. If the front edge is sharp I think the eye can go along with some softness further back in the image. Mar 9th
11 Mar 23 Comment Very nice image. Nice texture. Nice shadows. No suggestions. Mar 9th
11 Mar 23 Reply Thank you. Egrets are wonderful to watch and to photograph. Mar 6th

18 Mar 23 Comment I love your image. The composition, color and everything is great. No suggestions. Mar 9th
18 Mar 23 Comment A wonderful image and a great creation from an old slide. I guess it must have been a Kodachrome slide as the colors still look great. I like the image as is but I made a revision with a little more sharpness and contrast and with a reduction in the background noise. Mar 9th
18 Mar 23 Comment I love your image. Striking. Wonderful. No suggestions. Mar 9th
18 Mar 23 Reply Ian thanks for your comments. Following is the original image. Mar 9th
18 Mar 23 Reply Many thanks for you kind comments. Mar 9th
18 Mar 23 Reply Thank you. I did add some brightness and vibrance to the open balconies. Mar 9th
18 Mar 23 Comment What a wonderful photo. I never would have thought about photographing such a bland subject nor how to convert them into such a creative image. Mar 9th

78 Mar 23 Reply I also like this image and especially how all the angles focus down to the platform of tourists. Mar 25th
78 Mar 23 Comment Great image. I like the tree on the left so in my revision I cropped just a little off the left and some off the bottom. Then I brightened the image and darkened the road and house in the top background. Mar 11th
78 Mar 23 Reply Thanks for the suggestions. I darkened the background a little more and brightened the player slightly. I used a zoom lens set at about 150 MM at f 5.6. Mar 11th
78 Mar 23 Reply I darkened the sidewalk and background and brightened the player slightly. Mar 11th
78 Mar 23 Reply Brenda, I love it. Great rework. Mar 11th
78 Mar 23 Comment I like you image. The composition is great. However, to me, the image seems somewhat soft probably because of the wide F stop of 3.5. Lens tend to be somewhat soft at the bottom 2 and the top 2 stops. I think a f stop of 5.0 would have been much sharper but perhaps the background would not have been so nicely blurred. In my revision I sharpened just the flower and then also brightened the center. I did not know what to do with the odd stem so I just eliminated it. Mar 6th
78 Mar 23 Comment A wonderful image and a wonderful capture and I really like all the curves in the image. But, to me the most interesting part of the image is the vertical column of light. So in my revision I cropped out much of the dark shadow areas to feature the column which also allowed the figure to become more prominent. Mar 6th
78 Mar 23 Comment Very nice image. Very nice capture. But, I think the faces need to be brightened. Also, half of your image is of the nest but since the subject is the owlets they should be more prominent. In my revision I brightened the owlets and especially the faces. Then, I cropped out much of the nest. Mar 6th
