11 Apr 21 Comment I like the image and the conversion from the original. My only suggestion is to crop some off the left side so as to place more emphasis on the Museum of Glass. Apr 7th
11 Apr 21 Comment I think your image is outstanding. The elk is very sharp as is the blurred background. Some photographers would object to your image since the image of the elk is cut off between the knees and the hoofs. I have attached an alternative crop. Apr 7th
11 Apr 21 Comment I think your image is outstanding especially in capturing two sets of dragonflies in the same image. I would have liked to have seen the dragonflies with a little more contrast but feel that such an adjustment might not be possible. Apr 7th
11 Apr 21 Comment I really like your conversion, the leading lines and the overall composition. And, I do like the replaced sky but wonder if perhaps it doesn't have too much contrast. Apr 7th
11 Apr 21 Comment I have never photographed a daffodil that I have liked my photo perhaps because I never tried converting to mono. But, Allen after seeing your image I am going to to try to duplicate your very successful technique. I especially like the composition and the non distracting background. In my revision I slightly darkened what were the yellows and removed a few white spots. And, I wonder if the unopened blossom isn't a distraction so I also removed it. Apr 7th

18 Apr 21 Comment Dave, what a wonderful image. I never would have thought of making such a great creation. And as has been suggested the eyelash is the key to the image but the shadows, color and diagonal flows are also important. I felt that the bottom of the image added little so in my revision I cropped only that part of the image and left the rest of the image as in the original. Apr 6th
18 Apr 21 Comment Mike, I like your original shot and your crop especially since it did not include the other swans in the background. It appears to me, however, that he image is slightly sloping downward toward the left side. Also, I would not include the moon as it does not appear natural and the reflections from the swan do not appear to be moon reflections. In my revision I dodged the face and shadow areas of the swan. Andrew, I like your converted image except for sky which has a yellow cast and several burned out areas. I created an image from your original which has a better looking sky. But, I like the rest of your image much better than mine. Perhaps the "best" image would be the sky from my image and the rest of the photo from your image. Very nice shot.

18 Apr 21 Comment Very nice image and very nice composition but I agree with Mike about the background being a distraction. I don't mind the blue background but feel it should be not as vibrant and should be blurred. Apr 6th
18 Apr 21 Reply Mike, thanks for your suggestion. I had not noticed that bright area. Apr 3rd

78 Apr 21 Comment A wonderful shot, very well composed. My only suggestion would be to select just the bear and try to add a little more contrast as the color seems somewhat muted. Apr 5th
78 Apr 21 Comment I like the image, the conversion from the original and your composition but suggest a little tighter crop. Also, I think if you shot at a little smaller aperture you would get sharper images. Apr 5th
78 Apr 21 Comment Helen, I really like your revised image as I also felt the original mono needed a little more contrast. Great shot. Apr 5th
78 Apr 21 Comment I like your revised image a lot. I am slightly bothered by the long diagonal line which is slightly above the middle of the image. Consider cloning it out. Apr 5th
78 Apr 21 Reply Brenda, I think your procedure is about the same as mine except that I think I applied more gaussian blur than you did. One other thing is that you did not include the road in your blur which make it look a little strange with people blurred but not the road. I like your horse tail much better than mine and I did a poor job where the background meets the rodeo ground. Apr 5th
78 Apr 21 Reply I went to filters, blur and chose gaussian which you can easily adjust the amount of blue. Apr 5th
78 Apr 21 Reply Thanks for your suggestion. Please see my revision. Apr 5th
78 Apr 21 Reply Thanks for your suggestion. Please see my revision. Apr 5th
78 Apr 21 Comment A wonderful well composed action shot. My preference, however, is the color version. In my revision I darkened and blurred the background. And, I cropped some off the bottom and right sides but kept both the rider and horse in the golden third horizontal lines. Apr 3rd
