I like the photo a lot and its wonderful detail but also agree with the suggestion of more space on the right and a more natural background. |

I very much like the overall composition but felt the image was too flat - not enough contrast. I thought the sky and the water should have more detail. In my revision I increased the contrast and cropped off some of the bushes from the left side and just a slight amount from the bottom. |

Wonderful photo with great composition. Minor point - I would like just a little more contrast. |

I liked the mono image but felt it lacked contrast and was perhaps too abstract. I did not know what to suggest for improvement but I did like Henry's image and will have to try his technique. |

The mono image is interesting but I am bothered by the large limb that comes directly down to the bottom of the image. In my revision I've eliminate the foliage and the top left portion of the tree but am still bothered by the large vertical limb. I like Sharron's photo which focuses only on the beautiful gnarly area. |

Judy, my revision is not perfect but let me explain what I did in Photo Shop (I don't know or use Lightroom). First I used Photo Shop's selection tools (you know dancing ants) to outline just the lower flower and stem. The selection was not perfect because part of the lower flower crosses the stem of the middle flower so I could select the lower flower only up to the point of the stem of the middle flower. Then I used the move tool and the rotation tool (in EDIT) to move the lower flower to the place I wanted. Then I used the clone tool to fill in the empty space left when I moved the flower. Then, I used the selection tool to outline the missing lower portion of the stem which I then filled with a color which matched the stem color of the original stem. I hope my explanation is not too confusing but the key is learning how to use the selection tools.

I like the overall composition but am bothered by the black streak above the fence line on the left side of the photo which I guess is a road. In my revision I eliminated the black streak, lightened the shadows under the trees and burned in the grass areas. |

Jeff I love your wonderful photo but even after reading your explanation I am still not sure how you got there. I love the soft peach color of the final image. A suggestion would have been to have had the lower flower not touching the stem of the flower to its left and placed higher in the photo somewhat like in my revision. |

The image is very interesting but the bright area at the bottom right of the photo is bothersome. I agree with Jeff that cropping some off the bottom greatly improves the composition. |

I like the composition of the leaves but am bothered by the very bright leaf in the exact middle of the photo. I would like to see the center less bright and the other leaves brighter. And, I would also like the background more blurred. |
