I prefer the color version of the photo. In my revision I increased the exposure slightly and my crop was not so tight. |

I really like the photo and the mono version but I do agree that the center area of the photo is just too bright. I prefer Allen's more balanced version. |

I like the mono image and Jim Bodkin's version. But, I wanted to add more emphasis on the mountains so I cropped out much of the water's reflections and darkened the sky and mountains. |

I like the mono version much more than the color version as I think the background in the color version is distracting.. I think the shot is great and my only suggestion would be to burn in what looks like a water spout (to the left of the bird) to even out the background. |

Many thanks for all your comments. I liked my photo but thought it still lacked something. Your suggestions to make the photo sepia was great and much appreciated. I tried several dark shades but ended up with a light sepia but then felt the image was cropped to tight so I added space to the sides and above the original image. |

I really like this photos. The original photo is okay but the cropping, color conversion and added effects have made it outstanding. |

I like the photo, the composition and the colors. I attempted a revision by cropping some off the right and bottom of the photo to emphasize the wonderful curving path. |

I am still learning about IR and have no IR suggestions about the blue desert. However, from a composition view point I suggest that the main cactus should not be in the exact center of the photo. Perhaps a vertical format would be more interesting if much of the left side of the photo were cropped. |
