Bob, Cindy and I always enjoy getting together with you and Dorinda. I wish we lived closer together.
Thank you for your comments on my photo. The Cannon Beach area is spectacular!

Ah, Mark. Nature is amazing! Here on the East Coast, we also have beautiful scenes; however, the West Coast is both different and magnificent! Like you, I was attracted to the layers and the waves. An extraordinary area!

Thank you, Richard. I like seeing other possibilities for my photographs. (That's how I learn!) This time, however, even though I personally like your version, some people might feel it's a bit over-processed. |

Suzanne, I love drone photographs. They offer such interesting perspectives. I am not familiar with the Air2s (I have a DJI Mini 4 Pro). However, your images show that it has a great camera/lens! Nice.
To me, the interesting part of the photograph is the bright tree trunks and branches. They are wonderful. The white at the bottom serves as an anchor for your image, but it is a bit bright. I took the liberty of playing a bit in Camera Raw.]

Natalia, I enjoyed hearing about the marathon. Fascinating. It's wonderful to share our cultures. I'm learning a great deal from your posts.
I like Richard's rendition of your image. As he said, the photograph is about the runners. The cars are only a distraction. It would have been interesting to capture the runners from the front, so that their faces (and expressions) would be part of the story.

Such a charming young lady. The emotion on her face reveals how seriously she takes this moment. Brilliantly done.
Since the child is clearly the center of attention in the photograph, I decided I'd see how the image would look with the man. Your thoughts?

Mark, I can see why this was used to show the danger of bull riding! The poor man looks like he's being badly gored!
Your processing was excellent. I completely agree with the move to have the LH clown closer. The bull-fighting images on the wall seem appropriate. Did you consider removing the white lines? (Here's what it would look like.)

Thank you, Karen. It was an interesting area. The Japanese Guardens were also beautiful.

Sophia, I love how you used the image of the bat in this composite. It was both well-done and very clever! To me, his eyes are the focus of the photograph. They carry a feeling of wisdom and suspicion. Very well done!
A couple of thoughts...
Although I like how you darkened the man's face, it appears unnaturally red to me. And, the bats, while necessary for the feeling you're conveying, are so bright that they compete with his eyes. I took a moment to play with your image in Camera, addressing the two items mentioned above, darkening the brightest part of the beard, and doing a minor crop. Your thoughts?

Chris, I keep coming back to your image. It's absolutely fantastic! Each time I look at it, I see something different. Most recently, I've seen a wild pair of eyes, and the fender has become a curved nose. (Pareidolia) I can't think of any way to modify your photograph except perhaps lowering the brightest areas in the background.
Well seen, well captured, and well processed!

Mike,
I really like your idea of "creating" mountains, and I couldn't resist playing with it a bit in Camera Raw and Photoshop. To give it a sense of size, I modified the crop to create a panoramic image. Then I played with the lighting to put snow only on the tops of the mountains.

Emil, it's a fascinating bit of history, and a well-shot photograph. The angle is perfect, showing the inviting stairs with the amazing clouds above.
It seems to me that there is a great deal going on in this image, so much that I have a hard time deciding what to focus on. With that in mind, I played with the lighting a bit to draw attention primarily to the stairs and sky. Your thoughts?

Thank you, Emil. Have you ever had the chance to watch the changing of the guards? The precision and the solemnity is extraordinary.
