62 Dec 24 Reply Mike, CONGRATULATIONS! I hope you have had a chance to spend a bit of time with your new grandchild. I recall the times when my daughter (now 52) was a baby. Nap time was a blessing for me and my wife!

62 Dec 24 Comment Your image captures the feeling of European street scenes. I like the modification made by Emil (as I always do!), and thought I'd play with it a bit myself to highlight both the bicycles and the tower. Your thoughts?

62 Dec 24 Comment Mark, I'm definitely not a street photographer; however, your image may motivate me to give it a try. What I especially like about your photograph is that there is so much going on in the scene, yet the cyclist gives a dynamic feel to it. The fact that he's "sharp enough" is balanced with motion blur. Very well done.

62 Dec 24 Comment Adrian, your ability to find such a wonderful photograph within a MUCH larger one is impressive! I love the shadows of the boy's legs juxtaposed with the structure's shadows. Brilliant!

Like Mike, I couldn't resist playing with your image in Photoshop and Camera Raw. I decided to do a more dramatic crop to emphasize the parallel shadows further. Your thoughts?

62 Dec 24 Comment What a marvelous photograph! Like Mike, I find both the original and monochrome images appealing. Frankly, I think you should print and hang both versions. I can't think of a single thing that would enhance your images. Well done!

62 Dec 24 Reply Thank you, Emil. When I was there, the beat of the drums was amazing. Those who were dancing were almost in a trance. It was an amazing experience. I had the feeling that she and her baby attended the drum circle every week.

62 Dec 24 Comment WOW! Emil, you've done it again. It's a spectacular photograph. Like you, I love making images in foggy weather. It not only adds a calming mood but also introduces a bit of subtle drama.

With the drama in mind, I played with your image to see how it might look with even more drama... mostly in the sky. I also cropped a tiny bit off the bottom. Your thoughts?
