Perfect timing and wonderful composition! Richard, this is really well done. I love the feeling of motion and impending activity. All five players are in focus, and the background is nicely blurred (slightly). Well done!
Naturally, I wanted to play with your image. My goal was to see if I could make it even more 3D. I used Camera Raw as well as Photoshop. Your thoughts?

Sophia, many of the ICM images I've seen don't work for me. Yours definitely works, and it works well! I love how the streaks of light emphasize the shore and add a strong dynamic quality to your photograph. It's almost magical. Well done!
I wanted to see your image might look with even more contrast, so I played with it a bit in Camera Raw. Your thoughts?

Victor, your first group photograph is absolutely wonderful! It is obvious that you're very creative and have a great pre-vision of what you want to create. I've looked at your image several times and always return to the "lightning" as the focal point. With that in mind, I played with it a bit in Camera Raw to see how it might look with the lightning being even more central. I'm not sure I like it as much as I like yours, but it's a different way of looking at it. What do you think?

David, your photograph is excellent! I love the composition and the edits you've done. I definitely agree with removing the partial motorcycle and how you've handled the background. Mark's suggestion about adding a bit of contrast is interesting and might be worth pursuing. Well done! |

Thank you, Mark, Sophia, and Victor. I modified the "gray thigh" to add a bit of skin tone/color. Hopefully, this is a little better. I appreciate the comments! |

Keisha, I've attempted many BIF images but rarely get one as perfect as yours. Nicely done!
I agree that the ducks are part of the story, especially the one the pigeon appears to be looking at. However, I find the "partial pigeon" on the right-hand side distracting.
I played with your photograph in Camera Raw to experiment with different lighting. (I also removed the duck on the far right.) What are your thoughts?

Mark, I'm blown away by your photograph. The more I look at it, the more I see. I love how the lighting combines with the dark line on the floor pulls me in. Spectacular.
Naturally, I had to play a bit. I used Camera Raw to further emphasize the area in the back of the image. It was challenging to decide what to do with the wonderful objects along the path to the back. Your thoughts?

Mark, thank you! Now that you've mentioned it, I can't see anything other than the greyness of Sabrina's thigh. I will definitely work on it. Thanks again!

Michael, I suspect we can all identify with your nephew's activity; his pose says it all! I love how the bottom of his shoe makes me realize how "wound up" he is in order to skip the stone. Wonderfully captured! I especially like your updated image after Adrian's comments. Emil's suggestion was interesting, so I tried it. While doing it, I slightly enlarged and rotated the stone. Your thoughts?

Chris, this is beautiful. The monochrome and your excellent processing really works well for the seed pod. Which camera did you use to do the multiple images for focus stacking? I've done it with my Canon R5, but never quite know how much space to request between the photographs. Do you have any tips?
I hadn't noticed the "tripod" until I read your description. It acts as a frame for the pod. Nice!
Although I enjoy playing with the study group images, I can't think of anything that would be a desirable modification to your photograph. Well done!

Mark, I could only find three adjectives to describe your image: creepy, brilliant, and fascinating! It's a remarkable macro. It works much better as a monochrome than as a color photograph, and your processing was outstanding! Naturally, I couldn't resist playing with it. I modified the lighting and gave it a slightly tighter crop. Your thoughts?

Adrian, your bird photographs are wonderful. Not only are they beautiful, but they are creative and evocative. (Does the white wine contribute to their unique nature? Grins) I'll be quite interested in your upcoming book!
As you requested, I played with your image using Camera Raw, Photoshop, and Topaz Photo AI. What I ended up with isn't significantly different from your image. Your thoughts?

Such a wonderful location and image! How could anyone not want to play with it? It has wonderful tones, shapes, and composition! There's little that I can imagine to improve your photograph; however, I wanted to try different lighting and contrasts.
Your thoughts?
