Sophia, I just realized that I haven't commented on your image. Sorry for coming to the party late!
I love your creativity! It's so much better to have something unique that isn't "just" a wonderful image of a building and its reflection. The idea of using the filter is great... it provides a sense of intimacy to the photograph. I think, however, that the circle surrounding the image of the old factory is too prominent. Its size and brightness pull my eyes from the really interesting portion of the photograph. Also, I thought that a different sky might be a good addition.
With those thoughts in mind, I played with your original photograph in Camera Raw and Photoshop. Here's what I came up with. Your thoughts?

Richard, I agree with Barbara and David about the need for additional animals. However, the image also appears a bit flat to me. With that in mind, I played with it in Camera Raw. Your thoughts?

I really like Rick's modification. It leaves her hair (a highlight of the image) and removes the awkward arm.
Barbara, you really nailed the exposure and focus. Nicely done!
The one issue I have is that when I look at all the images in this round, my YOUNG grandson seems to be leering at the young lady. lol

Wonderful image, David. The action is excellent. I especially like the trail of bubbles in the water behind the dog. Well done!

Mark, this is definitely a WINNER! It's a beautiful scene, and your post-processing is outstanding. I love how you dealt with the sky and brightened the reeds in the foreground. When I compare your processed image with the original, it's clear that you added depth and made it even more beautiful. Well done!

Yes, Jim. Murphy was definitely at work creating a bit of irony.
When I showed your comment to my grandson, he suggested that I reply with something like, "Oh, that's not a costume." I think he's developing an interesting sense of humor! lol |

Jim, it's fascinating. I love hearing the background of things like this. Your post-processing is wonderful. I especially appreciate how the panorama was done. Cropping out the structures at the bottom of the photograph was a great decision. I also like how you've emphasized the red window frames. Well done!

Bob, I love the feeling of this scene. Beautiful capture! I agree with Emil's comment about the sky, so with that in mind, I played with your image in Camera Raw to see what I could come up with.
Your thoughts?

Mark, the lines, tones, and lighting make this a wonderful photograph. I especially like how you brightened the sky behind the tallest building. That pulls my eyes up to the top of your image and gives them a place to focus. Very well done!

Israel, as Bob said, it's a very powerful image. I think the white on the 2nd floor is due to the fact that your selection of the sky didn't include this bit. So, when you darkened the sky, this portion wasn't included. I found the contrast to be somewhat strong. Thus, I took your original into PS and played with it.
Your thoughts?

So many judges would say, "You need to crop the top." However, I completely disagree. The large space of the sky somehow sets off the rest of the image. And, Emil, removing the two trees was brilliant. This is, and should be, a minimalist image (IMHO). To me, this is art. Well done!

Mandy, it's a beautiful photograph of a beautiful woman. I love how the rocks in the background make a diagonal that emphasizes the woman's pose. Also, the falling water at her feet is almost a continuation of her body. Well done!
I did notice that the white dress seems a bit blown out, so I played with the original image to see what I might be able to do. Your thoughts?
