I like the textures in the bark and the form suggest to me something human. I would make the negative space to the right of the tree all black.

The contrast in contrast, form, tone, and texture between the two seated women tells an emotional story. This is very thoughtfully done. There is no need to see the faces of the two subjects, the story is complete in my mind. Nicely done. |

You have taken full advantage of the opportunity and created an outstanding portrait of the Bighorn sheep. Burning (darkening) the grasses would increase the contrast between the sheep and its background. Very nicely done, congratulations. |

The bright sunlit forms of the trees and their reflections make a compelling image that keeps my eyes moving around, in a good way. The high frequency zig zags on the Mangrove's reflections on top of the smoother curves provides visual interest. The low key treatment of the water and shadows works well to highlight the Mangrove trees. |

I like the smooth contours of the dunes. I would keep all the people in the image because they add scale to all parts of the image. Also, if all the people except for the to foreground individuals were removed, we would be left with the ugly scars of tire tracks as a reminder of human presence. I agree with Chris' cropping suggestion. |

The software allowed very clean removal of the crowd of people from the image. Very impressive, although it creates doubts in my mind about the future of photography. These thoughts are similar, I believe, to the painters who claimed that "painting is dead" when cameras and reproducible images were introduced. On balance, I am more interested in trying out the feature than walking away from photography. Thank you John for inspiring the discussion. I like that you cleared people only from the foreground and left people in the middle ground. This provides me with a clear path into the image. |
