My thought was to allow the mask to blend in with the other items in the ashes and let it appear slowly rather that highlight it. If you look carefully, there are bird figurines, and screws and nails from the construction of the structure. |

The curves and swirls off the smoke trails really make this image. They not only add movement but give the viewer the sense of change in direction. |

Kudos for trying the blue monochrome! We have talked about it in this group but rarely use a non-black and white monochrome. The shimmering patterns on the bird's feathers are fantastic!

The sense of motion and depth come through strongly. The sense of depth is created or enhanced by the positions of the camels and riders, the pyramids, the clouds behind the pyramids, and the modern buildings in the far background. Do you know what the line in the sand is for?

Excellent composition where everything directs attention to the rock outcrop and lighthouse. Even the dark lines of clouds point the way. Well done.

I very much like the perspective leading to a vanishing point and the excellent sense of depth that the piers create. |

The detail and exposure in the roof patterns are nicely done. The rest of the image looks grungy and possible over sharpened. |
