64 Dec 23 Comment The wood bridge is the star of the photo with excellent focus and exposure. The blur treatment on the corners detracts from the subject because it is too noticeable. I think that increasing the exposure of the foliage along the water to bring out more detail would improve the image. Dec 17th
64 Dec 23 Comment Nice image that sets a timeless scene and tells a story. The image is off-focus but keeps the subjects recognizable. It has the appearance of a Calotype or a photo Gravure that could have appeared in Alfred Stieglitz's Camera Work. Dec 17th
64 Dec 23 Comment Very nice image. I agree with the previous comments. The monochrome version accentuates the curves of the leaves and adds flow lines that are less apparent in the color version. The new leaf and spine coming up from the center is nicely emphasized by the darker tone that contrasts with the other leaves and by the blurred spine. Dec 17th
64 Dec 23 Comment Your image draws me into the scene with thoughts of what it would be like to live on this rugged outcrop against the sea. The composition balances the village against the sea and captures the wild wave action perfectly. As for the sky, it is dull and takes up a lot of the frame, but... I think the apparent calm of the sky adds contrast and balance with the dynamics of the water and dwellings.

64 Dec 23 Comment The long exposure creates and abstract feel to the image. My initial impression was of flames from a camp fire. That quickly changed to two stream of water falling on rocks. So in either case you have two of the mythical elements, fire and earth or water and earth. I like the extreme tonal contrast and would not change it. Dec 17th
64 Dec 23 Comment I hope you received a good grade on the assignment. The elements of the photograph do work well together to tell a story that comes across clearly and quickly. The photo could be improved by laying the statue flat on the floor.
