Stuart, The moon images are in the order that they were taken starting at the lower left and ending at the lower right. The shadow coverage is the way it appeared. No rotating was done. The reddish image at the top occurred at the maximum shadow coverage. The red color is from the red-spectrum light passing through the earth's atmosphere. Due to scattering the red covers the dark shadow. The exposure needed to to be increased to see the red. In the partial phases, the sunlit portions of the moon make it very difficult to see the red color. That's why the red appears near totality. |

I like what you've done with 18000th of a second. The smooth definition in the swirling water columns and the textural contrast with the white frothy water keeps me looking back and forth between the two, in a good way. Nice job. |

The scene is very well composed and creates a strong sense of being in that place. The contrast between the open street in the foreground and congested scene in the background is palpable. Nice job. |

I enjoy the graphical nature of this image. The stars around the lights and the path the trace are excellent. I appreciate your description of working with the layers in Photoshop, which is new to me. I will try that. Very nice work. |

The image is very low key and grungy, which does not appeal to me in this case. This may be due to the strongly mottled light which created difficult conditions to begin with. I would suggest trying a less-contrasty and lighter tonal treatment.

You have done a good job bringing out the detail in the monochrome image, specifically the bricks. I would like to see more tonal separation between the building and bright sky, like it is in the original color version. |

Stan, Thank you for your comments. I intentionally arranged the images in a parabolic arch. My first attempt was to arrange the moons starting at the lower left corner, going straight up to the upper left corner, then proceeding across the top of the frame to the upper right corner, then down the right side to the lower right corner. I concluded that it was too crowded and looked like a colon, not very pleasing. So I reduced the number of moons and arranged them in a parabolic shape. |
