64 Sep 22 Reply Thanks for your comments Stuart. I was surprised by your suggestion about wanting less of the merchant's face, because the bored or tired expression on the merchant next to the clock was what drew me in initially. Sep 11th
64 Sep 22 Reply I agree. The issue was not that the foreground fish were out of focus but that they were too bright and were distracting, and the tones of the intended subjects were too dark. I will consider the radial filter the next time I grab the adjustment brush. Sep 10th

64 Sep 22 Reply Well that explains that. Thanks for the reply. Sep 10th

64 Sep 22 Comment After reading the comments I decided to compare cropping vs applying a radial filter in Lightroom. Here is the radial filter version. Actually it's two radial filters, one to darken the outer edges and another to lighten the center of interest. Sep 9th
64 Sep 22 Comment At first look this is an image of elegant architecture and sculpture. On closer look, the image is uncomfortably noisy, especially the sky. The tourist with the luggage is distracting. And... what is John Roaches signature doing on the image??? Sep 9th
64 Sep 22 Comment The wave patterns and different frequencies of ripples is captivating. I would have liked this even without the seagull.

64 Sep 22 Comment Without your explanation I would not have known that this was a composite. Well done. Looking at the knobby tires on the bikes I had to chuckle at the term grass track.

64 Sep 22 Comment You have created a unique and very nicely crafted view of this icon. I like everything about it, even the safety nets hanging from the bridge. The pinnacle on the left balances the bridge and large rock supporting the abutment. Well done. Sep 4th
64 Sep 22 Comment This creative abstract image immediately gets and keeps my attention. The propeller-like leaves leave a definite impression that my eyes and mind try to unravel. Sep 4th
64 Sep 22 Comment This is a wonderfully sharp image of the buildings. The treatment of the sky and clouds keeps the focus on the buildings. The beehive feeling is contrary to my ideas of Hawaii. Well done. Sep 4th
