I had to look up "posterize" to understand what you have done here. The image has a gritty, grungy look. If that was your intention, bravo. How did you settle on four levels of grey? I may have used more levels for smoother transitions and a cleaner look to emphasize the varied patterns in the architecture, but that is just me. |

The symmetry and flowing lines are wonderful to look at. I appreciate the reminder that monochrome does not have to be strictly black and white.

Welcome to the group Chris. The image is striking and dynamic with the wind blowing the spray back into the ocean. The silhouettes of the surfers adds to the active narrative. The bright reflection off the wave face is not a distraction to me. I would forget about the potential camera club comments and ask yourself how you feel about the reflection. |

You captured your objective of showing two faces on each building. The pano orientation works well toward this end. The wispy clouds in the top center are a striking addition which add a sense of cold wind blowing off Lake Michigan. I which the image was extended more at the top to reveal more of those clouds. |

John, when I first saw that you had posted what I considered to be my "color" image I thought you had made a mistake in not posting the "monochrome" that I had submitted. In looking at the image, it does fit the monochrome definition. Thank you for pointing this out. |
