You saw the image well Helen. Thank you. There were a few comments suggesting that I rotate the image. It was the water line that kept me from rotating the image, so I cropped out the water and rotated it. The next question was in which direction do I rotate it? After trying several options I felt that counter clockwise looked best with the glacier surface and the rock striations of the black rock mirroring each other. |

This is a fun image. I like the strong sense of motion that you captured. The wet spray really sets the tone also. How did you keep the water drops on the windshield from appearing in the photo? |

I greatly enjoy the repeating patterns of the light and shadow. The repeating diagonals of the hand rail and stair support add a sense of motion, in my opinion. |

Nice capture of the juvenile heron. I especially like the full range of tones, from white to black, that you captured in the bird's feathers and beak. |

I think the curved patterns keep my interest. They create a definite sense of depth. |

The gesture of the man's arm and the clear area within the smoke match perfectly! It is like he is pushing away the smoke, even though that's not what is happening. To me, the smoke is the subject and the person is supporting the main subject. |

I like the stop action of the waves and the gesture in the egrett's leg. The bright light was the challenge. I would have liked to see more contrast between the bird's body and the bright water behind it. |
