The path creates a clean leading line to the walker. To me, the image tells a story of a well used walking path even is the snow. I think lightening the snow in the foreground was a good choice. I went back and forth on that point. |

The shapes created by the tonal contrasts are very interesting. This image reminds me of the images published in Camera Work. My personal preference, however, is for less grain. |

The well-placed point of view greatly enhances this image. I like the illusion of a reflection made by the lower story of the building. |

There was more than enough controversy going around in 1971 in Chicago. Historically, this sculpture would have been a minor footnote. That said, the basis for the "Picasso's Wife" comment is readily apparent to me. |

The grunge treatment of the scene paints a clear picture of the factory's condition when the photographs was taken. It makes me think twice about eating ground beef or hotdogs! |

I like the wide tonal range in this image. The soft flow of water over the near falls is pleasing to me. I think the foreground falls would make an interesting subject by themselves. |
