I think the composition and angled perspective of the barn is excellent. The high contrast scene is well-contained. It must have been a challenge to preserve detail at both ends of the tonal range considering the bright conditions. The variations in the detail in the wood is very interesting.

I really like your creative treatment of the subjects, the composite composition and overall treatment of this image. Well done Stuart! |

This image has high impact for me, especially when viewing it for the first time. The tones and contract are very effective in providing depth in the image. For example the dark area at the rear of the cat and lighter tones on the front. One nit pick. I would like to see some separation between the cat's tail and the tree branches. |

I find the textures and patterns very interesting. The most compelling element for me is the patterned curtain in the shaded area of the door visible behind the screen. |

The wave patterns and high contrast treatment are effective and nicely done. The tonal gradient from the upper left to the right side captures my interest. The curved stick sticking out of the water is a distracting element for me. I would have preferred the wave patterns by themselves. |

I believe you caught the character of this old barn. The vignette created by the clouds is very effective in keeping the center of interest on the barn. The gable on the barn roof is a unique feature that adds interest for me. This image was worth stopping for.
