Jerry - I think this is an excellent perspective of the river canyons from level ground. The gouges in the earth are impressive. Thank you for sharing. |

This crop shows the tops of the doorways and is a bit wider. If I'm emphasizing the faces, the closer crop does that better, but I do like to see more of the environment including the entryways. |

I have two crops. This one has the closest view of the faces. |

The separation from the background is very well done and the detail on the feather patterns is excellent. Thanks for the discussion of processing. I recently purchased Affinity and am learning how to work with it and explore its capabilities. I like the fact that Affinity doesn't try so steer me into a catalogue system, like Photoshop. Lightroom, however, is still my go-to program. |

The warm lighting is perfect for this attractive model. What procedure did you use to dial in the lighting from three strobes? |

The monochrome treatment brings out the many patterns in the duck's feathers. It is very nicely focused and exposed. I wouldn't change a thing. Nicely done.

To me this image conveys the relentless power of the water to carve deep channels in the massive rock. I like the framing which shows the two channels cut off from each other at the bottom of the image, but my mind knows they are connected.

I like the strong graphical elements in the image. I'm not a plant person, so before I understood that this was a cactus, the thorns had the appearance of Juniper leaves, soft and not threatening. The abstract nature held my interest and is the strongest characteristic of this image. How did you create the black background? |

The monochrome image is high key yet retains a wide range of tones. I feel that the dark trees especially add interest in the monochrome version over the color version. I prefer the monochrome version because it has much more separation of the individual houses. The kaleidoscope of colors in the color version dassle my eyes and make the details of the houses more difficult to see. I agree with Jerry F. that the clouds appear very differently in the two versions. |
