Here's a version cropping to highlight the two lucky chicks on top of the rock as Jerry Funk suggested. |

Here is an edited version with lighter shadows and cropped at the top. Although the darker version is closer to what I envisioned when I saw the scene, I like the adjusted version as well. |

This scene as made for black and white. I like the shadow patterns on the model's face very much. It took me a while to understand that the parasol was black. My brain was trying to make sense of a white umbrella until I looked at the original. |

This is a very nice capture of a scene few of us have witnessed directly. I like the high-key treatment, especially the light reflection of the skin. It underscores the armor-like skin. You must have been quite close to capture this at 220mm. Thank goodness the rhinos were occupied and not paying attention to you photographers. That's the value of a good guide. Nicely done. |

This is a very nice photograph of an interesting building. I like the fact that you preserved the outlines of the individual panels and controlled the glare. It makes me wonder how the interior space of the rooms is oriented. |

The contrasting black swirling pattern on the petals and white stamen are very nice. Without adjustment, my reds convert to mid- to dark-grey. Your flower petals are light, almost white. Did you do any color adjustment before converting to monochrome? |

I like the low key treatment of this image. The reflections of the teeth in the provide impact and interest for me. The shiney reflections on the skin and the surrounding dark background make this image pop. Was any artificial light involved? |

The strong shadows on the bridge piers and the shapes they make are the most interesting feature of this image to me. I also like the reflection in the water on the right side of the image. Unfortunately the ripples over most of the water reduce or eliminate the reflections of the bridge, but not much could have been done about that. It looks like there were some clouds in the sky. It might improve the image if they were lightened. |
