This is a wonderful graphical image with its mix of straight and curved lines and sharp and soft lines contrasting the metal and the shadows. I find the cropping and angles in this composition very pleasing. |

Great perspective! Of course the boy's expression is wonderful, but the detail in the boat and its contents are nice as well. |

The pencil-sketch appearance is very nice and fits with the subject well. The grass on the ground is a nice addition. Well done. |

I like the way the sidelight on the roots brings out the texture and contrasts with the dark trunk and water. The bright halo in the reflection hints at a bright background above where the image is cropped. This adds some interest for me. |

The crisp details of the tree trunks and branches and the buildings is very appealing to me. I like the fact that you were able to provide separation between the tree leaves and the clouds. I get a sense of how nice it would be to live in the houses along the creek. |

Thank you Don and Stan for your comments. I went back to the original image and found much more detail in the swan with its wings outstretched than in the image I submitted. Although the swans are in bright sunlight, the loss of detail is not from blown highlights but from the resizing. I am posting the original image here. Unfortunately the detail in the swan's wings is lost after resizing in this image also. Of course the main point of the image was the illuminated swans in the foggy surroundings, I agree that the detail in the birds is also important. |
