The tonal contrasts are nicely done, in my opinion, and emphasize the features of the altar and windows. While the blue in the original is quite dramatic, I like the way that the graphical details come out in monochrome. I think that the darkening of the bottom and sides are appropriate for this image. |

This is a difficult scene to capture with the strong dappled light and deep dark shadows. The ferns and other leaves have a bright infrared photograph look. I like the perspective on the irregular stairs. |

I like the effect of both the water and the light coming from the opening in the rocks. The brightness of the (green) rocks on the right makes them blend into the scene. If you lower the tone of the rocks they would stand out better, in my opinion. The converted tone of the orange streambed blends too closely with the rocks on either side of it and the black base of the waterfall. I would like to see a separation of the tones of these elements and think that it would add interest to the scene. |

I definitely prefer the monochrome treatment over the original color. I think that a touch of blur and some lowered contrast would give it an old timey feeling, if that's what you're going for. |

This is a complex graphical scene which keeps my interest. From that perspective there's not a parallel line in the frame. Looking at the sky, it looks like a red filter was applied to darken the sky so much. The black sky matches the piers of the bridge. |

I like that the depth of field includes the whole flower. The detail in the spikes at the top of the flower hold my interest. The bokeh in the background is pleasantly smooth.
