64 Apr 18 Comment I find the gesture of the birds wings to be quite graceful, like they could suspend the bird motionless for a brief moment before diving. I like the sharp focus on the bird also. I think the contrast between the smooth outline of the bird and the rough texture of the clouds works well here. Apr 10th
64 Apr 18 Comment I feel that the image tells the story of burden as you intended, and the story is clear even if the image is not perfectly clear. I find the bundles of firewood on the carrying pole appear as giant barbells, further emphasizing the young man's burden. I would like to see more area on the bottom and right side of the image. 64 Apr 18 Comment I like the composition with the building framed by the tree branches in the upper right corner. I think the inclusion of the foreground elements of the water and water plants gives the image a perspective of depth. To me, the island and tree branches in the upper right corner nicely balance the temple building. I would like to see more detail and contrast in the background sky and clouds. Apr 10th
64 Apr 18 Comment To me the image is quite abstract. Before reading your description I spent some time looking at the image trying to decide if the image was made up of Cyprus roots, Spanish Moss, a micrograph of fungus, or something else. I think that the vertical crop emphasizes the direction of the ridges to good effect. I would like to have seen more detail in the white areas, but it's possible that it's just not there. Apr 10th
64 Apr 18 Comment I like the contrast between the bright white bird and the black background, tree branch, and nest. In my opinion, the halo of feathers center the attention very effectively on the body, neck, and head of the bird.

64 Apr 18 Comment I like the overall composition which is nicely balanced between the domestic structures and the lighthouse. The inclusion of the foreground rocks and back yard complete the scene. I would like to see the sky darkened and cropped. I think this is a very pleasing image. Apr 9th
