I find the image a bit disorienting and feels like a carnival or fair. But that may be what the merchant intended for the entrance to their store. The bright white lines of the tunnel direct attention to the dark interior of the store and the back side of the entering customer. The intended subject, the young woman, is lost among the white lines and spots of light. My eyes follow the white lines right past her. This is a difficult location for street photography. |

I appreciated this image the longer I studied it. The high key treatment brings out the boat and dark sand bars. I would try cropping about half of the sky at the top of the image to give more weight to the water below. I would keep the leading line of the sand bar to the left of the boat. |

I love the detail in this image. It is sharp throughout the frame. The contrast between the slightly chaotic street scene surrounding the stately Town Hall provides a nice contrast. |

As a Civil Engineer, I am drawn to the lines of the bridge. But what really captures my attention is the texture of the wind-driven ripples on the water surface. I find the clouds distracting. Maybe with a lighter touch on the clouds they would blend in and be less distracting. |

This is a very pleasing image. The smooth textures add a feeling of tranquility. The contrast between the main subject and the water fixes attention on the white boat. I agree with the suggestions to crop the top of the image to simplify and focus the image. |
