The contrast and composition are well done. The contrast between the bright reflection of water on the pavement in the middle ground and the two dancers is nicely done. It would be even nicer if the young women were dancing on the wet pavement, but that's too much to ask, I know. The foot positions show the mirroring intent of the dancers. This is a nice capture of an interesting street scene. The orthonoginality of the building lines in the background is impressive. |

The composition and perspective and wonderful. There is a nice sense of balance between the silhouettes of the two near trees and on the right and the masses of trees on the left. The dust gives a foggy appearance to everything and provides dimensionality between the foreground elements and background. I found the bright white halos around the trees and leaves to be distracting. This may be from over sharpening or too much contrast. |

The textures and patterns in this image are striking. The composition emphasizes the graphical nature of the columns and block walls, all pointing to a definite vanishing point on the right side of the image. I would like to see the full arch on the left side, rather than have it cut off at the top. The focus is quite sharp especially considering the low ligh, slow shutter speed, and hand-held capture.

The contrast in this image is very stark, possibly too stark. While the silhouettes of the trees and reflections of the posts are nice, the dark tones overshot the mark and mask some of the textures. This causes a mismatch between the dark sky and the bright reflections on the water.

This image has a beautiful sense of movement. The dark tonality adds much to the tranquil mood or feeling. The contrast in movement between the static rocks and tree branch and the moving water adds a special element to the image. |
