Thanks Stan. I appreciate your comments. Yes, you hit the nail on the head...I had watched this fellow for a few minutes before taking the shot. I thought he would be a strong subject despite some of the other distractions. Norm |

Hi Adi,
This to me is a terrific travel image. The color, focus and composition are great.
I really like the way you were able to incorporate bystanders in the image. The light streaks directed my attention to the clocktower but the bystanders added further reality to the image.
Happy 2025!

Hi Jay,
This to me is a very good twilight beach image. You managed to get good color in the sky while still being able to capture the moon & Venus...tough to do! While I understand that the pontoon boat isn't the only subject hereI wondered that, given, it's centrality in the image it might be worthwhile trying to brighten up the boat a bit to add further interest to the image.
Happy 2025!

Hi Mel,
This to me is a terrific street photography image! The bright red of the building and shutters is a wonderful contrast to the clothes the subject is wearing. Also, it looks like you were able to get the subject `mid step'--showing motion without a blur. Add to all that the reflection in the window for a wonderful image.

Hi Stan,
This to me is a great travel image. As you point out shooting from a cathedral balcony so as to get the entire interior in an image is a rare opportunity. You certainly made the most of it with vibrant colors and sharp focu!. I particularly like the way the sculpture in the lower right corner seems to `anchor' the image.

Hi Harriet,
I really like the soft lighting on the vase and pussy willow as well as the slight 45 degree shadow...all of this adds interest to the photo for me. However, I myself am not a fan of soft focus lenses and I would have preferred to see the vase sharper while having the pussy willow softer... But this is a matter of my personal taste and is no reflection on your image. It looks like looks like you achieved the effect you wanted.
Happy 2025!

Hi John,
This I think is a wonderful image of the historic castle. By shooting wide you were able to capture the environment the castle is in. I really like the inclusion of the moat and surrounding lawn. The color & the exposure are on point!
