Thanks for all the kind & very helpful comments…Much appreciated…for those who wanted to see the fountain more centered I did in fact try that but, at least to me, it didn't `feel right'…A matter of taste I suppose.
Happy spring!

Hi Adi,
This to me is an image evocative of someone moving `onward & upward'. That is,the escalator conveys someone moving towards the light in the grid formed by the Oculus roof...Almost as if the person on the escalator sees `light at the end of the tunnel'. I think the black & white contrast is terrific, the image is sharp and to me it's a `winner'.

Hi Jay,
I think the image does a great job incorporating night light to enhance the building. The strings of lights create pleasing leading lines. In fact I think this could easily be made into two images: one with the string of lights and the other with the two `bowl like' lamps in front of the building. In any event, the image gave me a good feel of the street and made me want to know more about the town.

Hi Mel,
The color and the capture of the sun's rays is stunning. The reflection of the trees (to the left) in the water is great. Had you considered cropping to eliminate the two trees on the right and their reflections? I guess for me the fact that the reflection of those trees is cut off diverts my interest from the rest of the image...which is lovely.

Hi Stan,
A wonderful travel & street image. The focus and composition are spot on as is the color. I'll bet you had a lot of fun photographing the windows of the Tabac shop & the shop on the corner. The image encourages me to learn more about Bordeaux! `Hope to get there one day!

Hi Harriet, I like the way you captured the folds in the flower and the softness of the early morning light. Had you also considered moving the vase so the bar in the window doesn't cut through it (unless this was your intent)?. Also, had you considered have a more wide open F stop?...that might help blur out further the foliage in the background focusing the viewer's attention more on the vase.

Hi John,
A wonderful image-excellent focus. I like the way the car badge takes `center stage'.With that in mind I wonder if including more of the grill beneath the badge would create a better back drop than including the steering wheel and the grass?
