Thanks John for your kind comments. The object you mention is, I think, some kind of CC TV cameraâ⬦I did try to clone it out but was unsuccessful so I left it in. What was really interesting about taking the shot is that although it was very early (about 6:30 -7:30am) there were lots of folks in the street trying to get this photoâ⬦It all depended on where you were on the street when the light was just right. As with all photography I suppose that getting the shot was a function of being at the right place at the right time combined with lots of luck & some effort at previsualization (which I always find challenging)

Hi Bernie, A beautiful butterfly. I agree with Jay & Harriet's comments. Also, you might consider increasing the shutter speed to 1/500 or even 1/750. Given the focal length being used even the slightest movement by the butterfly could impact sharpness. norm |

Jay, An interesting abstract. You might consider whether cropping to eliminate the supporting beam (?) on the left could give the image more impact. Norm |

Hi Stan, A beautiful image! I think monochrome works well here because this is a travel photo and you have succeeded in giving us a `sense of place'. Had this been an architectural image I would agree with Harriet that color might be more appropriate. But getting this shot while `on the fly' is certainly a tribute to your sharp eye & talent!

Hi Harriet, A lovely image...I like the reflection in the window. The sepia treatment works but perhaps you might consider processing it in black & white...it could give a different `feel'. norm |

Hi John, Per the other comments I think that this is a great train shot. The color and composition is spot on. The image makes me feel like I'm right at the station!
