This image has very good color and good use of the light. It really evokes a sense of place. Also, had you considered using the widest angle of your zoom, getting low, emphasizing the first bale of hay and cutting down on the sky? ...Perhaps this would add a bit more drama to the image. Wide angles work well with a significant object in the foreground.

19 Mar 23 Comment Hi Jay, Very good color on the tree trunks and good use of selective focus with the background. Had you considered cloning out the branch in the left side of the image?--I find it a bit distracting...even focusing in on the 3 trunks to the right of the branch may have helped. But I do like the creative element of this image!

19 Mar 23 Comment Hi Stan, The colors and the vantage point for this image are great. It makes me think I'm looking at France during the Belle Epoque! One consideration, perhaps cloning out the `D' at the bottom right might further ground the architecture to a time in the past. I always enjoy your travel images...they really evoke a sense of place.

19 Mar 23 Comment Hi Harriet, The colors are great as is the starkness of the white snow/ice background. Had you considered cropping out the top portion? ...At least to my eye the leaf patterns in the bottom half are more interesting...but that is just a matter of taste. Well done!

I like this image...it has a mystical quality to it.Getting down low to get the jetty in is, I think very effective.Perhaps darkening the sea under the horizon line just a bit in PS might help with separation. Well done!
