Hi Harriet & Bernie
Thanks for your kind comments.
Bernie…I captured the image by a bit of luck and observation….I was walking down a busy NYC street looking for interesting street scenes (an upcoming Camera club meeting had street photography as an assignment)…when I happened to see the owner and dog ahead of me and to my left…We were stopped at a red light at a crossing so in the time it took for the light to change I made sure my camera was ready and started photographing when the boots started walking and I was walking behind them…The relatively fast shutter helped to stop the motion as did shooting when all 4 boots were on the ground ( I took a series of images) . Hi Bernie,
A beautiful waterfall, well composed to show a realistic view of the scene. Concerning the sky, while you could reduce the highlights and white in Adobe Camera Raw in PS my own preference would be to simply crop out the sky...I'm not sure it adds much to the image. You could try Adobe's sky replacement feature (in the Edit column) but I'm not sure that would help, it may look too artificial.

Hi Jay,
An interesting and well exposed `urban graphic'. The image captures my interest especially with the play of light & dark.. I wonder if there are really two images here?-left of the girder and right of the girder? It might be fun to try that and see if keeping the focus on one side concentrates the viewer's attention further.

Hi Stan, A great travel image! I like the way you were able to capture the mosque in both shadow and light and contrast it with the blue sky. Great color & composition!

Harriet, I think you succeeded in what you were trying to do. The horse head `fits' into the background well from my point of view. One suggestion, you may want to tone down the highlights at the bottom & to the right & left of the horse head.

Hi John, This image really makes me feel that I am out in the country...well done! The leading line of the road takes me through the image & brings the image together. The only suggestion I have is to see if you like the image more if you crop lower and just show the clouds instead of the sky and mountains...For me at least the clouds provide an ethereal sense to the image.
