Hi Barbara,
I think this is a lovely image & concur with Stan's points. Also, it may have been interesting to darken the brown parts of the flower to make the main part stand out further. As for the lens baby I commend your trying to use it...I tried it once at a workshop and found it a bit frustrating to use...perhaps because I'm so accustomed to having everything in cameras so heavily digitized!

Hi Jay,
I concur with the others comments. Also, some suggestions, it may have helped to either shoot from a different angle or have the fellow move a bit or shoot at a more open F stop so the stuffed animals are further separated from the subject. Also, it would have been fun to get a photo of the fellow with his glasses off (I suppose he would have had to move to avoid squinting). The fellow has an interesting face and seeing his eyes could only add to the photo's impact.

Hi Carol,
This is a lovely image of your granddaughter. I like the way the light in the center envelops her. Some suggestions: you may want to consider further saturation--the 'butterfly wings' have a lot of color in them that might be made to `pop' further. Also, you may want to use the healing tools in PS to eliminate the fence posts to the right & left of her.

Hi Stan,
This is a lovely rendering of a beautiful Church. You captured the rich tones of the frescos as well as of the stones forming the church walls. Some thoughts, since you were shooting wide it may have been interesting/(possible?) to position the camera to avoid including the lamp to the right or perhaps crop or clone it out. The light color of the lamp takes my eye away from the main subject--the Church. Otherwise great image!

Harriet, Hydrangeas can be difficult to photograph well and I think you have done a good job. I like the irregular composition & the texture of the image. My own preference would be to saturate the greens a bit more-but that's a matter of taste. I would also try to further `dark out ' the already dark background...even making it black...That could make the flower `pop' even more.

Hi John,
This is a very good image of the steam engine `in action' I like the color, the smoke and the people on the engine. Some suggestions to consider: bring up the blue in the sky; and for future consideration think about shooting at a slower speed that captures some blur/movement.
