Hi Barbara,
This is a beautiful photo. The flowers are perfectly balanced and the leaf to the left lends a further sense of reality (that is, we know it's a freshly picked specimen). Per Stan I especially like the black background and simple border. Great job!
Also, just curious did you position the light tent to get window light or did you use artificial lighting?

Hi Stan, This is a beautiful landscape image. Great color & detail and wonderful composition...My eye easily glided through the image. The only thing in my mind that may have enhanced the image further might be some kind of iconic object in the foreground--tumbleweed etc.

Hi Harriet,
A nice environmental portrait of Dr. Doolittle. It can be tough to do any portrait with IR but you pulled it off well!My only suggestion would be to try and lighten the dark part of coat on Dr. D. This may or may not be possible depending on the IR filter used (probably easier with a 590nm or 720nm versus an 850 nm (deep IR).

Hi John,
Very good composition and the image is sharp. Per Barbara and Stan's comments additional contrast would help. I really like what Barbara has done with the sky...it really `pops'.

Thanks Stan for your comments. I appreciate the information about PSA rules but I wasn't planning to enter it in a PSA exhibition. |
