Hi Barbara,
You've produced a lovely image.I like the silhouette & the colors in the sky.
Perhaps this was cropped from a larger horizontal(?) frame...If so, I wondered if you had taken any images in a vertical orientation?...in a vertical you might continue to get the sky in and narrow focus to the tree rather than the surrounding brush.
...You clearly caught the `decisive' moment in the sky!

Hi Carroll,You've made a wonderful portrait & I'm sure the 2 women would be proud to have it. You captured their happy & proud ,<WOW!Summa Cum Laude--quite an achievement> expressions at just the right moment! Well done! My only question is whether you have the color balance the way you want it? I find it a bit warm & would `play' with the color temperature settings a bit in PS...But again that's just me.
Great job!

Hi Marcela, You did a good job with a very tough subject. Birds in flight (or almost in flight) are very challenging. A few suggestions...The very upper middle 1/3 of the image--without the bars in the background--might make for an interesting image with some of the birds on the branches & the others in flight or near flight. Also, you may want to hike your shutterspeed to 1/1500 or even 1/2000 or more to stop action. Finally, in spring we have many cedar wax wings near us & I have found that early AM --when they are having breakfast!--seems to be a good time to catch them at rest in pairs or as singles...they are beautiful birds & make for good environmental portraits.
`Look forward to seeing future images of these birds!

Hi Stan, You've made a terrific image! The yellow draws me in & then I go to the other parts of the image but the `lines' on the upper & lower parts draw me back in. Wow! You are fortunate to have this in your backyard!

Hi Harriet, I really like this image...very sharp & the eyes are good! I would have the same suggestion as Stan in terms of the background.
Well done!

Hi John,
I really like the color in this image as well as the stance of the bird--looks like its got `attitude'! It might be fun in the future to see if you could focus in on the bird's head & perhaps use a large aperture to `blow out' the background...sort of an environmental portrait.
