Thanks for all the helpful comments,
Per Harriet's suggestion I increased the contrast a bit...if you get the chance please let me know what you think.

Hi Barbara, I think you did a wonderful job in a difficult situation especially with an 80mm lens...You didn't mention if this was in FX or DX...shooting in DX might be something to think about to attain a digital extension of 80mm to 120mm. Also, Topaz Gigapixel might be helpful in alleviating some of the lack of sharpness in the bird's feathers. |

Hi Stan, I think this is a beautiful & serene scene with excellent lighting. I also like the reflections. I agree with Larry on the additional cropping. A couple of questions for thought: had you considered a different F stop-perhaps F5.6, F8 to enhance the DOF? Also, had you considered using Topaz Gigapixel?...it can sometimes help with making cell phone images even better for enlargements. |

Nice image and environmental portrait! I like the cropping and the color of the animal's coat. While F2.8 let you blur out the background I'd be inclined to try the image @ F4 & F5.6 as well because, at least to me the nose area seems a bit soft. |

Hi John, I like this image...it really draws you in. My only suggestions would be to crop in further on the bird & sign, brighten up the yellow of the sign, and see if you can reduce the shadows on the bird so as to get a better view of the eyes alternatively try to selectively sharpen the eyes.. |
