Thanks John for your comment. Yes I was right up against the window glass...I could have opened the window but I had tried that another day and it `spooked' the birds. |

Nice shot Carroll of a hard to `capture' insect.
I really like the colors on the plant.
But I wonder if using a close up filter or macro lens might have given you more definition in the bee? |

This is a beautiful image Marcela. I think it is an excellent use of high key lighting. Well done!
Also, had you thought of trying to focus stack this image for maximum sharpness?-it would be relatively easy to do since it is an indoors shot & you wouldn't have to worry about the petals moving between shots. You can merge the images in PS or use Helicon (a software package especially designed for focus stacking & relatively inexpensive) |

Wow Stan--incredibly sharp especially given that you took the image handheld & from a boat! I especially like the loon's reflection in the water. Well done! |

A very creative image Harriet of a very challenging subject.
Given the lighting & the difficulty of getting detail in the highlights on the left side of the image perhaps you might consider cropping those out & lightening up the right side (with the blue part of the blossom)? Alternatively, you might consider going into LR or PS & see what can be done with the highlights. |

A wonderful `environmental portrait' John. I like the fact that you have the 2nd Alpaca in the back field-to me it gives the image a real feel of `being there' amongst the animals. The grass & yellow flowers add vibrancy to the image as well. Well done! |
