I agree with Stan about trying to silhouette the person more completely for even more impact.

I think the original image is nice but the monochrome image is more dramatic...and I like the `toned' image the best. Perhaps you might experiment with lessening the highlights a bit in the toned image?...the highlights on the right seem to lead my eye out of the picture...Otherwise well done!
...As for toned images in general--I like them...At least for me <and for others of a `certain age'> they evoke memories of photos of loved ones & friends taken years ago when toning seemed to be more popular...And since I haven't seen many toned images in competition in my area I think that if they are done right they elicit a positive response...Just my thoughts... 19 Apr 20 Comment Hi Harriet, I think this is an impactful image...It really does evoke a sense of calm. Per Marcela I don't think the frame adds to the impact & per Stan intensifying the highlights would make the image `pop' even more. Good job! Apr 9th
