Thanks Stan & Tracy...Stan,I'm glad the you like the HDR approach...it's a great tool but if carried too far I feared making the scene look artificial.
And Tracy thanks for the comment about Escher--I wasn't familiar with his work but have since taken a look and WOW! what a great artist!

Hi Tracy,
I really like the concept behind this image--living trees against a rock wall that has been unchanged for ages.
Some suggestions: perhaps eliminate some of the road in the foreground < the brightness range in my view detracts from impact>and concentrate on the trees and the wall. Lightening the shadows on the wall and intensifying their color might be worth a try. |

Great portrait Carroll & amazing detail in the face and hand. `Just a couple of suggestions...would you consider darkening the background a bit--I think the yellow takes away from the photo's impact. Also, although I think the details in the hand are great it might have been interesting to wait until his hand dropped out of the way and then concentrate on the face...but as we all know in travel photography you have to work with what you have. |

Great colors Stan! And amazing use of the iPhone. Did you consider letting the foliage go totally black?...this might enhance the drama of the photo. |

Harriet, What a beautiful horse! ...I think you may want to go back to the original & simply crop in a bit--I think either Snapseed or the artistic filter blurred the horse's mane. |

Nice capture John! The red ball & flag really draw me in. Had you considered cropping out the 2 poles on the right of the image in the background? This might (?) draw the viewer more to the houses and the red ball & flag. |
