Thanks John. Per above I was very fortunate and happy to get this image. It was a combination of `scoping out' the butterfly bush for several days and then having my camera ready when the light was right and the butterflies were just getting active. The real luck was in having the 3 butterflies all on the same plane on the bush so that depth of field was good across the photograph...especially challenging when using a long lens to do macro like shots! |

A beautiful image--well exposed given the challenging lighting situation.
Have you considered a higher crop that begins just beneath the fountain and eliminates the bridge...or a crop that simply eliminates the highway?
Well done!

Wow! what a great observation to get an image like this!I really like the composition of this photo and especially the reflection of the seed pod on the surface. Per the other comments it might be interesting to experiment with a bit more depth of field to see how that impacts the end parts of the seed pod. Well done! |

I think this is a great travel image especially given the need to crop--given the absence of detail in the girl's dress. I wonder if you had also tried to isolate the man's face & pipe to see how that might look? |

A lovely image...I like the interplay of the colors and the diagonal lines. To me this is a great example of an abstract photo based on a real situation. Well done! |
